The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has set four Guinness World Records for laying bituminous concrete on the Bengaluru-Kadapa-Vijayawada Economic Corridor in Andhra Pradesh. Records were achieved on January 6 and January 11, including the longest continuous paving (156 lane km), highest quantity laid in 24 hours (10,655 metric tons), and longest continuous stretch (28.89 lane km). The feats involved advanced machinery and stringent quality control, with support from institutions like IIT Bombay. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu applauded the achievement.
