JSW Energy to Acquire 300 MW Thermal Power Plant in Chhattisgarh
JSW Energy has agreed to acquire Maruti Clean Coal Power Limited (MCCPL), which operates a 300 MW thermal power plant in Chhattisgarh, for Rs 1,410 crore. This acquisition will make MCCPL a wholly owned subsidiary and supports JSW Energy's target of reaching 30GW capacity by 2030. MCCPL holds long-term power purchase agreements and coal supply arrangements, contributing to stable cash flows and profitability. The deal is expected to enhance JSW Energy's thermal portfolio and financial resilience through operational optimizations.
