The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology approved 22 new proposals under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). Tamil Nadu's Industries Minister highlighted that these projects are projected to create 34,061 jobs, with Tamil Nadu securing 23,451 of these. The state also attracted a significant portion of the total approved investment, with three projects from TATA Electronics, Motherson, and Foxconn contributing ₹27,166 crore out of ₹41,863 crore. Foxconn's investment was noted as the largest single approval.
