India has extended the bid submission deadline for its latest oil and gas block auction, OALP-X, for the third time to February 18, 2026. This extension, impacting the Open Acreage Licensing Policy round, aims to boost domestic production by offering significant acreage across various water depths and basins. Deadlines for the Discovered Small Field and coal-bed methane rounds were also extended to the same date. Industry sources suggest the extension may be due to the year-end holiday season.
