Andhra Pradesh has emerged as India's leading state for proposed investments in the first nine months of FY26, attracting 25.3% of total announcements, according to a Bank of Baroda report. This places it ahead of Odisha and Maharashtra, with these three states accounting for over half of India's total proposed capital investment. State minister Nara Lokesh attributed this success to consistent reforms and investor confidence. Nationally, investment announcements reached ₹26.60 lakh crore, an increase from the previous year, with the power sector leading in sector-wise investments.
