British private equity firm Apax Partners is reportedly acquiring a 25% stake in iD Fresh Food for approximately Rs 1,300 crore, valuing the company at nearly Rs 4,500 crore. This investment, one of Apax's first pure-play consumer ventures in India, aligns with the firm's focus on premiumisation trends. iD Fresh, founded in 2005, is known for its home-style, preservative-free packaged breakfast batters and has previously been backed by Premji Invest and TPG NewQuest.
