Manipur's 3rd Emoinu Fish Festival saw over 1 lakh kg of indigenous fish sold, exceeding the 80,000 kg target and generating over Rs 35 crore. The event, part of Ima Imoinu Iratpa celebrations, featured 140 stalls offering various local fish varieties with fixed prices. Manipur annually imports fish to meet its deficit, with local production covering about two-thirds of the demand. The festival aims to promote indigenous fish sales and provide offerings for religious purposes.
