
Liquor sales in Delhi increased by six percent in the 2024-25 financial year compared to the previous year, with excise revenue rising 11 percent to Rs 8,254.76 crore. Retail liquor vends rose from 673 to 714, while licensed hotels and clubs decreased. The Delhi government is preparing a new excise policy expected by 2026-27.
