The World Trade Organization's Dispute Settlement Body has established a panel to examine China's complaint against India's Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes in the automotive and renewable energy sectors. China alleges these measures discriminate against its goods, violating WTO rules. After bilateral consultations failed, China requested the panel for a second time, which India opposed initially but accepted following WTO procedures. India maintains its policies comply with WTO obligations and do not harm Chinese trade interests. The panel will review the dispute and issue recommendations.
