The Indian government, through the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, is planning a nationwide survey of the textile industry. Set to launch in 2027, the survey will map key textile hubs and assess the sector's health by collecting data on financial inclusion, production value, worker conditions, and export performance. This initiative aims to provide crucial insights into one of India's largest employment generators, which contributes significantly to the country's GDP and industrial production.
