Jindal Steel announced plans to double its structural steel manufacturing capacity at its Raigarh plant to 2.4 million tonnes per annum by mid-2028. This expansion includes commissioning a new structural steel mill and technology upgrades to produce heavier and more complex sections. The move aims to enhance the availability of heavy structural steel in India, supporting infrastructure projects and reducing import reliance. The company currently has a capacity of 1.2 MTPA.
