
According to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's latest Commitment of Traders data through February 24, 2026, large speculators increased their net short positions in Pound futures by 14,668 contracts to 57,072. Meanwhile, Euro futures net long positions declined by 17,624 contracts from a two-and-a-half-year high to 156,856. US dollar index speculators also increased net short positions by 2,117 contracts, reaching 1,789 net shorts. These shifts reflect changing speculative sentiment in major currency futures markets.
