
Approximately 100 container ships, representing about 10% of the global container fleet, are currently delayed near the Strait of Hormuz. This backlog follows recent U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran, according to Jeremy Nixon, CEO of Ocean Network Express, who spoke at a shipping industry conference in Long Beach, California. In total, around 750 ships are affected by the congestion in this strategic maritime corridor.
