Approximately 70% of identified industrial units in Gurugram have failed to install air pollution control devices (APCDs) by the initial December 31 deadline. These units, primarily in food processing, metal, and textile sectors, also did not link to the online continuous emission monitoring system (OCEMS). The Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) has extended the deadline for APCD installation to January 31, 2026. APCDs are crucial for preventing pollutants like SPM, SOx, and NOx from entering the atmosphere.
