
Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) has commissioned a 1 GW solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, the largest executed by the company to date. The project, comprising 1,000 MW AC (1,400 MWp DC) capacity, utilizes 2.4 million solar modules manufactured at TP Solar's facility in Tamil Nadu, supporting India's 'Make in India' initiative. Power will be supplied to utilities in Rajasthan, Jammu Kashmir, and Uttarakhand, with operations expected to generate over 2,454 million units of green electricity annually and offset significant carbon emissions.
