Banks raised the lowest funds via private placement routes in the current financial year up to November, according to an RBI report. This year's 58,912 crore through 17 issuances marks a significant drop from 1.49 trillion in FY25 and 1.31 trillion in FY24. Public sector banks raised the majority of funds, while private banks also saw a decrease. This trend suggests cautious balance sheet management amid tighter liquidity and evolving funding needs.
