
India has concluded nine free trade agreements covering 38 countries, providing preferential access to nearly two-thirds of global markets, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal stated. Key deals include landmark agreements with the European Union and the United States, described as the "mother" and "father" of all deals, respectively. These agreements aim to boost Indian exports, especially in labour-intensive sectors, integrate India into global value chains, and support economic growth under the 'Amrit Kaal' trade policy framework.
