
Indian Railways will launch Amrit Bharat II Express trains from January 2026, continuing the new-generation service aimed at affordable, safe long-distance travel. The fare structure has been revised, setting a minimum chargeable distance of 200 km for Sleeper class and 50 km for Second class, with base fares remaining Rs 149 and Rs 36 respectively. Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC) will no longer be available in Sleeper class, and additional charges like reservation and superfast surcharges will apply separately during booking.
