
Bihar has commissioned the first phase of its Rs 2,800 crore Kajra Solar Project in Lakhisarai district. This phase includes a 185 MW solar plant and a 254 MW-hour battery storage system, costing Rs 1,810 crore, enabling 4-5 hours of uninterrupted power. The second phase will add 116 MW solar and 241 MW-hour battery storage for Rs 1,055 crore. The entire project, aiming to boost clean energy, is targeted for completion by January 2027 with a total capacity of 301 MW solar and 495 MW-hours battery storage.
