The Delhi High Court denied interim protection to Alkem Laboratories in its trademark dispute against Prevego Healthcare Research over the use of 'A to Z' branding. The court ruled that the letters 'A' and 'Z' cannot be monopolised as the mark is descriptive and differences in font, color, and trade dress distinguish the products. Prevego was allowed to continue selling its multivitamin under the name 'Multivein AZ', with the court noting no deceptive similarity between the marks.
