Sir Ratan Tata Trust Meeting to Appoint Neville Tata as Trustee Cancelled Due to Lack of Quorum

A scheduled board meeting of the Sir Ratan Tata Trust (SRTT) to appoint Neville Tata, son of Chairman Noel Tata, as a trustee was cancelled due to lack of quorum. This follows an earlier unsuccessful attempt to induct him, reportedly due to objections from trustee Venu Srinivasan and compliance with recent amendments to the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act limiting lifetime trustees. Neville Tata and Bhaskar Bhat were appointed to the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT) in November 2025. The meeting may be rescheduled pending consensus among trustees.
