
India's foreign exchange reserves declined by USD 2.119 billion to USD 723.608 billion in the week ending February 20, according to Reserve Bank of India data. This followed a previous week’s rise of USD 8.663 billion to a record USD 725.727 billion. The decrease included a USD 1.039 billion drop in foreign currency assets, a USD 977 million fall in gold reserves, an USD 84 million reduction in Special Drawing Rights, and an USD 18 million decline in the IMF reserve position.
