
India's peak power demand is projected to reach around 270 GW this summer, with no expected disruption in electricity supply despite the West Asia crisis, according to Minister of State for Power Shripad Yesso Naik. Recent data shows peak demand rising slightly to 243.15 GW in February 2025. Meanwhile, domestic LPG prices were increased by Rs 60 per cylinder due to global energy price spikes. The government is also integrating AI and digital technologies to enhance power infrastructure monitoring and safety.
