The Uttar Pradesh government is developing PM Unity Malls in Agra, Varanasi, and Lucknow to promote local handicrafts and traditional products from 75 districts. These malls aim to provide a permanent platform for marketing ODOP and GI-tagged products nationally and internationally, supporting artisans, women, and youth. The Agra mall, costing about ₹128.85 crore, is under construction in Shilpgram, while the Varanasi mall is being built in Ganganagar Colony. The initiative seeks to revive declining traditional industries and strengthen local livelihoods.
