Flender India Launches Largest Test Rig for Wind Turbine Gearboxes Near Chennai

Flender India has commissioned India's largest and most advanced test rig for wind turbine gearboxes at its Walajabad facility near Chennai. Developed in collaboration with Flender teams in Germany and China, the rig can test gearboxes for 13.5MW-class windmills, a significant upgrade from previous 6MW capacity. This development supports India's renewable energy goals, including a target of 100GW wind energy by 2030, with Tamil Nadu playing a key role in wind power generation and investment.
