BillDesk is acquiring Worldline India's payments business in a deal valued between $70 million and $150 million, according to various sources. The acquisition aims to enhance BillDesk's payment aggregation, transaction switching, and omnichannel merchant acquisition capabilities, targeting mid-size merchants and expanding regional reach. Worldline will enter a long-term technology pact to continue providing its payment software. The deal follows PayU's terminated attempt to acquire BillDesk three years ago and is expected to complete in the second half of the year.
