CIDCO achieved a significant milestone with the first-ever tunnel breakthrough for its Hetawane Water Supply Scheme augmentation project in Navi Mumbai. The breakthrough occurred at Shaft-4 in Wahal village, overcoming geological challenges in the Deccan Sahyadri region. This project aims to increase water supply capacity from 150 MLD to 270 MLD by 2050, involving the construction of extensive raw and treated water tunnels.
