Cognizant Technology Solutions and its subsidiary TriZetto Provider Solutions (TPS) are facing at least four class action lawsuits in the US following a data breach. Filed in December, the lawsuits allege that TPS failed to adequately protect sensitive patient data, including personal and health information, and did not provide timely notifications after a cyberattack. Cognizant stated they take data protection seriously and, due to ongoing litigation, declined further comment.
