
India's Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) has initiated a countervailing duty investigation into imports of Chinese PVC resins following complaints by domestic manufacturers alleging subsidization and dumping at lower prices. The DGTR will assess the extent of subsidies and recommend duties to address injury to Indian producers. Separately, the DGTR has also started an anti-absorption probe concerning anti-dumping duties on imports of the Chinese herbicide Glufosinate and its salts.
