
Pune Railway Station is set to undergo a significant expansion over the next five years as part of a national master plan. The project includes the construction of six new platforms, extension of existing ones, and the development of two satellite stations to double passenger handling capacity. The number of originating trains is planned to increase from 50 to 110, with 198 additional coaches for 75 trains, aiming to benefit approximately 170,000 passengers and reduce waiting lists.
