Kolkata Port Partners with East Horizon for Rs 260 Crore FSRU Project at Haldia

Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata, has signed a license agreement with East Horizon Pvt Limited to establish a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) at the Haldia Dock Complex, involving an investment of around Rs 260 crore. The FSRU will enhance LNG handling capabilities, support cleaner energy infrastructure in eastern India, and strengthen the national gas supply chain, aligning with the government's goal to increase natural gas usage in the energy mix. Technical details of the project remain undisclosed.
