Public sector banks sanctioned over 3.96 lakh MSME loan applications totaling more than Rs 52,300 crore between April 1 and December 31, 2025, under a digital Credit Assessment Model (CAM). Launched in 2025, CAM uses digitally verified data like KYC, GST, bank statements, and credit reports to automate loan appraisal for both existing and new borrowers. This model aims to reduce paperwork, processing time, and subjectivity while integrating credit guarantee schemes to support MSMEs.
