Thirty textile and apparel units operating under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme have begun production, according to the Union Ministry of Textiles. The scheme, with an outlay of ₹10,683 crore, aims to boost MMF apparel, fabrics, and technical textiles. Of 74 selected applicants, 40 are investing, 22 have met thresholds, and 30 have started production. The scheme projects ₹2,16,760 crore in turnover and 2.59 lakh jobs. Provisional incentives of ₹54 crore have been disbursed to two applicants.
