LPG Shortage Causes Workforce Migration Concerns in Auto Component Industry

Auto component manufacturers in India are facing workforce migration to native places due to an LPG cylinder shortage, which is affecting workers' ability to cook and leading to some factory canteens shutting down. The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) warns the situation, while not as severe as during the COVID pandemic, could worsen if unresolved. Supply disruptions linked to the US-Israeli conflict have prompted government action, including forming a panel to address industry concerns and requests for uninterrupted LPG supply or alternative fuel options.
