
Telangana procured a record 70.82 lakh tonnes of paddy during the 2025-26 Kharif season, surpassing the previous high of 70.2 lakh tonnes. The procurement benefited nearly 14 lakh farmers through Minimum Support Price (MSP) payments totaling over Rs 16,600 crore, with an additional Rs 1,425 crore in bonuses. The state facilitated the process via 8,448 purchase centers and has shifted all procured paddy to mills for processing. Officials emphasized continued support and timely payments to farmers, marking this achievement as a significant milestone.
