Coforge announced plans to acquire US-based AI firm Encora for $2.35 billion, aiming to bolster its artificial intelligence, data, and cloud solutions capabilities, particularly in healthcare and hi-tech sectors. This strategic move is expected to significantly expand Coforge's global reach, especially in the US market, and potentially make it India's seventh-largest software exporter with an estimated combined revenue of over $2 billion by FY27. The acquisition, funded through an all-stock transaction, will see Encora's current shareholders, including Advent International and Warburg Pincus, hold a 20% stake in the expanded Coforge.
