
At the 56th World Economic Forum in Davos, Roberto Bocca, Head of the Center for Energy and Materials at WEF, noted that India is surpassing its energy transition milestones ahead of schedule, adding nearly 50 GW of power capacity in 2025, mostly from renewables. However, rising electricity demand from AI and energy security challenges, including project delays and transmission issues, are emerging as critical priorities. Bocca emphasized that energy transition involves sustainability, security, and affordability dimensions.
