U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has updated policy guidance for adjudicating green card petitions for professional athletes. This follows changes in the Department of Labor's labor certification process, which now uses the Foreign Labor Application Gateway (FLAG) system. The new guidance aims to ensure immigration officers have sufficient information, as the FLAG system's revised forms omit minimum job requirements, a detail previously captured and crucial for athlete petitions, who are exempt from prevailing wage requirements.
