Karan Johar highlighted Shah Rukh Khan's investment in the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as a standout example of successful celebrity entrepreneurship. Since acquiring a 55% stake in 2007 when KKR was valued at around ₹300 crore, SRK's active involvement and strategic engagement have significantly increased the franchise's value. Reports in January indicated SRK's intent to buy an additional 35% stake, potentially worth ₹4,000 crore. Johar emphasized that SRK's hands-on approach makes KKR a more profitable venture than his film business.
