World Economic Mobility Limited (WEML) is set to launch Nembharat, a new Indian ride-booking app aiming to challenge Uber and Ola by eliminating driver commissions and surge pricing. Backed by the Narayanihiti Trust, Nembharat will operate on a prepaid, cashless system, allowing drivers to keep full earnings and offering passengers fixed fares. The platform plans to integrate various transport modes, including cabs and auto-rickshaws, and aligns with consumer protection guidelines to address concerns over driver earnings, safety, and fare transparency.
