Maharashtra Budget 2026 Targets Industrial Growth and Expansion of Animation-Gaming Sector

Maharashtra's government, led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, unveiled ambitious plans in the 2026 budget to boost the state's industrial and creative sectors. The 'Invest Maharashtra' platform aims to increase industrial income to 1,500 billion by 2047, focusing on manufacturing, MSMEs, and establishing industrial clusters. Concurrently, the budget targets the animation and gaming industry, aiming to create 400,000 skilled jobs and develop Mumbai and Pune as a 50 billion economic hub with over 295 gaming studios, leveraging existing infrastructure and talent.
