The ongoing Middle East conflict has disrupted vessel schedules, causing around 3,000 export containers, including 1,000 perishable TEUs, to be stranded at Jawaharlal Nehru Port. In response, the port authority, led by JNPA Chairman Gaurav Dayal, has coordinated with shipping lines, customs, and trade bodies to manage the situation. Relief measures include a 100% waiver on ground rent and dwell time charges, additional storage space, and a task force to assess impacts. Export cargo continues to be cleared via available sailings or alternative ports, with the situation steadily improving.
