Gold and silver prices reached record highs on the MCX on Friday, December 26. Gold futures rose over 0.5% to ₹1,38,991 per 10 grams, and silver futures surged 4% to ₹2,32,741 per kg. These gains are attributed to increased speculation of US Federal Reserve rate cuts in January and rising US-Venezuela tensions.
