Maruti Suzuki Reports Record Production, Expands SUV Focus and Capacity Plans

Maruti Suzuki reported a record production of 2.1 million units in FY25, marking a 6% year-on-year increase and maintaining a 40.6% market share in India. The company sold 1.32 million units from April to December 2025, with SUVs accounting for 367,000 units in FY26, reflecting a rising focus on this segment. Maruti Suzuki plans to expand production capacity to around 4 million units annually by 2030, supported by new plants and an extensive sales network of over 4,487 outlets. Its strategy includes diversifying into electric, hybrid, CNG, and biofuel vehicles while aligning with India's growing vehicle demand and infrastructure development.
