Jatinder Mehra, a veteran of India's steel and metals industry with over six decades of experience, passed away at 86 on February 24. He was Vice Chairman of Essar Group's Metals Mining Division, contributing to major projects like the Hazira steel expansion and Paradip steel facility. Previously, he held senior roles at Steel Authority of India Ltd and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited. Essar Group acknowledged his leadership and lasting impact on the sector.
