
India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) recorded 20.39 billion transactions in February, marking a 27% year-on-year increase, with transaction values rising 22% to Rs 26.84 lakh crore. Average daily transactions reached a record 728 million, nearing Rs 1 lakh crore in daily value. UPI's international presence expanded to over eight countries, including Israel, where India and Israel agreed to link payment systems to enhance cross-border digital transactions and economic cooperation.
