Priority sector lending (PSL) growth for scheduled commercial banks slowed to 12% in FY25 from 16.9% a year prior, primarily due to moderation by private banks, though all banks met their targets. Total advances reached Rs 67.26 lakh crore, representing 43.6% of total credit. The gross non-performing assets (GNPA) ratio for priority sectors fell to 4%, but still constituted 64.7% of total bank GNPAs. Trading volume for PSLCs increased by 36.4%.
