Ministry of Cooperation Advances Circular Economy Model for Cooperative Sugar Sector
The Ministry of Cooperation is advancing a Multi-State Cooperative Society framework to strengthen the cooperative sugar sector by promoting a circular economy model. A programme held on May 27 at VAMNICOM, Pune, involved representatives from 31 cooperative sugar mills in Maharashtra and Karnataka. Chaired by Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol, discussions focused on converting sugar by-products into high-value products, integrating green energy, and fostering a rural industrial ecosystem under this initiative.
