Indian Metals Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA) has completed the acquisition of Tata Steel's ferrochrome plant in Kalinganagar, Odisha, for Rs 707.26 crore. The facility spans 115 acres and includes four furnaces with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes, expected to rise to 150,000 tonnes after commissioning a fifth furnace within a year. The transaction was funded entirely through IMFA's internal accruals. IMFA is India's largest fully integrated producer of value-added ferrochrome.
