Air India has resumed its non-stop flights between India and Tel Aviv on January 1, 2026, following a suspension in June 2025 due to Middle East tensions. The restored route, initially planned for five weekly flights, aims to boost tourism and economic exchange between the two nations. The Indian Embassy expressed wishes for the airline's success, encouraging travel on the direct air link. Another Israeli carrier, Arkia Airlines, has also shown interest in reopening direct routes to India.
